A Deck And Pergola With All The Bells And Whistles
This decking project features most of the things we build for our customers, all in a single outdoor living space.
A picket gate secures the premises and at the same time contributes to the property’s curb appeal. The deck is slightly raised, but instead of stairs leading up to it, we built a gently-sloped ramp so that access can be easy for persons with disabilities as well as for delivery guys needing to roll up heavy stuff into the house.
The deck adjoins a single-vehicle carport. Imagine coming home from a hard day’s work, driving into the carport and ambling over right onto the deck to simply relax.
What proper deck doesn’t feature a barbecue grill?
Slatted timber screening offers privacy. In this case, it creates a suitable border that defines the carport’s boundaries.
A swing seat to relax in, a heater for warmth during cold days and nights and a spot of greenery.
A gabled pergola contains the entire space. A combination of steel and polycarbonate roofing sheets allows control of sunlight and shade. The ceiling fans provide additional cooling and ventilation when necessary.
The other end of the deck opens up into the yard and acts as a gentle transition from indoor space to the outdoors.
