Laserlite 2000 colours

The 2000 range of Laserlite polycarbonate sheets are available in 5 distinctive colours: Clear, Opal, Cream, Grey Tint and Bronze Tint. These colours suit a full range of building applications and each is transparent to differing degrees. Your colour choice will have a bearing on the appearance of your patio or pergola and also the level of heat that you feel when there is direct sunlight on the polycarbonate sheets.

Laserlite 2000 profiles and lengths

Laserlite 2000 is available in a few different profiles to give you the look you are searching for. You can select from a standard corrugated profile, a sharper greca profile or an industrial style 5 Rib profile which can be used for structures with a lower than standard pitch to carry greater volumes of water to your gutters.

Laserlite 2000 is available in a wide range of standard lengths that should be appropriate for all applications. Simply determine the length you need for your job and order it (or the next size up if it’s not exactly the same as any of the standard lengths) You can cut sheets to length easily using a jigsaw, a stanley knife, heavy duty hand shears or a circular saw

The standard lengths for sheets of Laserlite 2000 are:  1.8,2.4,3.0,3.6, 4.2, 4.8, 5.4, 6.0, 7.2

Laserlite 2000 Screws and accessories

Laserlite provide a proprietary and customised “One shot” screw to fix their sheets. These screws are a great way to fix polycarbonate roofing as they eliminate the need to pre drill any holes into the sheet before you fix it. One shot screws feature a plastic widget that sits below the head of the screw and ensures that the screw is not fixed too tightly and also that there is a seal over the expansion hole that is drilled by the flared feature on the screw itself (this is to ensure that the sheets can safely expand and contract with hot and cold conditions) One shot screws are to be installed on the top of corrugations so that they don’t get in the way of flowing water and potentially expose the roof to leaks.

Eave infill strips

Laserlite eave infill strips are a hardwearing custom cut foam section that fit directly on top of your roof sheets profile to seal your roofline against rain running against the slope of your sheets, as well as dust accumulation and the nesting of pests. Infill strips will also stop your roof sheets from rattling or making any unwanted noise in windy condtions

Purlin Tape

Purlin tape or noise reduction tape is used by builders to reduce the noise that polycarbonate roof sheets make when they move on top of the structure they are affixed to. Roof sheets are drilled into the purlins on a pergola and when they move with the wind or expansion and contraction in the hot and cold conditions they can creak and make unwanted noise. By using a strip of purlin tape on top of the purlins of your pergola before affixing the roof sheets you eliminate this problem. Purlin tape is available in 25m rolls.

Back channel and infill

Laserlite back channel and infill strips are designed to create a neat finish for your structure if it sits against the wall of your home. The top of your roof sheets are slotted into a back channel with an infill to ensure a tight fit and no insects or dust accumulating. Back channel stops water from draining over the back of your roof sheets.

Barge and Ridge capping

Your pergola may also need some metalgoods to finish off it’s roof effectively. Barge capping covers the end of your sheets and attach them to the end rafter of your pergola to create a waterproof seal. Ridge capping is used on gable pergolas and allows the roof sheets to sit under a cap that again prevents water from getting into the structure.
