LOW MAINTENANCE + DURABLE
Composite decking or wood-polymer composites are an alternative, synthetic decking material manufactured primarily using wood chips and recycled plastic. Typical composite decking has a more modern and synthetic look to it. For those that prefer the look and feel of traditional timber materials however, brands such as Trex, Modwood and Millboard make composites that replicate the finish of timber very convincingly. Importantly, both the manufacturing process and the end-products are environmentally friendly.
You can have a price and drawing of your composite deck emailed to you in minutes when you use our free online design tool.
Credited as the inventors of composite decking technology, Trex continue to develop and define the industry with high quality and low maintenance composites.
Evalast is the newest composite in our range and is an extremely well performing product at a great competitive price point. Evalast is polymer capped with excellent hard wearing profiles that resist scratching and weathering. It’s currently available in four different colours and screening as well as decking applications. Evalast also has an industry leading 25 year warranty against weathering, staining and fading.
The next generation in composite decking, Millboard products contain no timber. They’re handmade from a polyurethane resin and styled from real oak timbers to give an amazing natural timber finish.
Advantages to composites
Composites are designed to withstand inclement weather conditions, be it constant rain or sunlight.
Composites are also built to withstand the wear-and-tear of daily use. Softwoods offer premium composite boards that are protected by a capped polyurethane coat that keeps any stains away.
Some composites are considerably lighter than their timber counterparts, composites are easier to handle, store and transport. This contributes to faster build times and corresponding savings.
Composites do not break down nor degrade over time, offering the benefit of longer-lasting decks, patios and pergolas.
Composites do not require staining or sealing, with no further maintenance required other than regular cleaning.
